In the municipality of Guarne, the National Police's Peace Building Strategy was implemented, which seeks to generate actions to strengthen assertive communication between the town's urban and rural communities.

“We are the first municipality in all of Colombia to have this strategy,” said the mayor of Guarne, Diego Mauricio Grisales, who stressed that this activity is built one by one with all citizens, especially with people who were victims of violence, and those who are already linked to the process.

In this regard, the Secretary of Government and Citizen Coexistence, Elisarai Torres Roldán, said that, with the support of the Police Unit for the Construction of Peace (UNIPEP) and the Municipal Ombudsman, "activities are being carried out where neighbors recognize each other as people to strengthen the ties of communication within the same community."

In addition, the strategy is added to the other inter-institutional offering that is being deployed in urban and rural areas, especially the Purple Patrol, a specialized Police unit dedicated to preventing and addressing cases of violence against women, which is patrolling the villages and neighborhoods of the municipality.

In addition, there is a constant presence of GAULA, Community Police and anti-extortion campaigns throughout the Guaraní territory to continue strengthening security, citizen confidence and coexistence. source LIVING IN EL POBLADO https://vivirenelpoblado.com
